Upcoming Events and Announcements
We have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation in Pittsburgh and the country in general. The safety of our members, guests, and staff is of paramount importance. We have, therefore, made the difficult decision to close our facility to all users and members for at least the next 3 weeks.
For those with the necessary technology, PFM Meeting for Worship will be hosted on Zoom from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. for at least the next two Sundays. You can enter the Zoom meeting as early as 10:15. Please follow this link to join the Zoom Meeting https://zoom.us/j/230527982 Then enter Meeting ID: 230 527 982
For a brief tutorial on joining a Zoom meeting, please follow this link: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362193-Joining-a-Meeting
We hope that any who are put off by the technology or do not have the equipment might settle into silence at 10:30 on Sunday and worship in spirit.
We are exploring additional ways to maintain connection, share spiritual insights, and build community with Friends, and we will work with committees to develop a list of these in upcoming weeks.
Pittsburgh Friends Meeting – Mutual Aid and Connection during Social Distancing and Isolation
While we encourage people to continue to reach out to each other, we also wanted to create a centralized place for information. We can continue to evolve with the situation – as new ideas, needs, and resources emerge, we’ll continue to share!
Please follow this link to indicate support that you would appreciate receiving or are able to give as we grapple with challenges associated with the pandemic: https://forms.gle/xyUhyTKrTaiCJq498 .
We will be sharing responses with others in Meeting. If you have a need that you would like to share more confidentially, or you just want to make a direct connection, please reach out to any of the following:

From East End Cooperative Ministry: “At this time, because of the increased need for food and meal distribution for those who can’t afford to go to supermarkets to stock up during this health emergency, EECM requests monetary donations to our agency at eecm.org/give.” The organization continues to serve the needy with daily community lunch (take out) and a food pantry.
Black Men Rising is organizing a drop-off of supplies for people in the African-American community who are having a hard time finding what they need to meet the crisis. Supplies needed include liquid hand washing soap, hand sanitizer, rubber gloves, kleenex, toilet paper, thermometers, surface cleaning liquids, cleansing cloths, disinfectant spray, etc. Drop-offs are from March 16-27, 9am-5pm at 7120 Kelly St, Pgh.
