● In what ways do we make our homes places of spiritual and religious growth?
● Do we share our religious insights with those we love?
● Do we respect the needs for intimacy or separateness of those with whom we live?

Working Group Against Racism Community Read on October 28 at 12:15: In 1979, the brilliant Black lesbian poet and scholar, Audre Lorde, wrote about the separation within feminism between middle-class white women and older, Black, poor, and lesbian women, “Without community there is no liberation … [we must] learn how to take our differences and make them strengths … For the master’s tools will never dismantle the master’s house. They … will never enable us to bring about genuine change.” All are welcome to join us to read together and discuss the essay “History as a Weapon”, a call for unity with and among those who are considered “other” that continues to resonate across generations. Please talk with or email Mary Parish (email@example.com) if you have questions.

A reminder from Ministry Committee: LIFT YOUR VOICE IN MINISTRY: With the planned renovations to the meeting room, help is on the way for us to better hear each other in vocal ministry. Until then, let’s see what our voices can do by speaking strongly and projecting to all in the room. YOUR MESSAGE IS GIFT AND NOURISHMENT FOR OUR SPIRITUAL JOURNEY.
