Queries for August (Eight Month) on Vocations
● Do we perform our work guided by the Light within?
● In following our vocations do we contribute to the well being of the larger community? Does our work reflect Friends’ testimonies of honesty, equality, peace, and simplicity?
● Do we conduct our business affairs so that all parties are treated fairly?
● Do we have respect for all honest work, paid or unpaid, whether at home or in the community?
● Are we open to helping individuals who are making vocational decisions?
Announcements and Upcoming Events
Called Meeting for Business: On Sunday, August 23 rd, there will be a called Meeting for Worship with Attention to Business to discuss the meeting’s child safety policy and compliance with new requirements in Pennsylvania law regarding background checks for volunteers who work with the children of the Meeting. We invite all members and attenders to join this discussion, which builds on the threshing session we held on the same topic on July 19th.
