East End Cooperative Ministry (EECM): Food of the Month is tuna. Also needed – sugar substitute and diapers. Leave in box near coat rack. First Day School (FDS): Collection of new stuffed animals and new or gently used books for children aged 2-5 who are victims of violence; and of new or gently used books, toys educational games and gift cards for low-income children aged 5-18. The items will be distributed by the Family Resources Center in Pittsburgh to children in their programs. Please put gifts (unwrapped) under the Christmas tree on the landing. Holiday sales of Art Party crafts and cards continues TODAY (Dec. 4) and Dec. 11, at the rise of late worship in the Foyer. A limited number of special artworks will be offered in a silent auction, today and Dec. 11, with fulfillment on Dec. 18. Karaoke! Sat., Jan. 21, at the Meeting House. Sing your heart out! DJ Curt Cool has over 96,000 songs, from old standards to current hits, country, soul, rock, children’s or Broadway. Potluck dinner 5pm, singing 6-10pm; sponsored by Eric Starbuck, Walter Mead and FDS.

Speak Up!! TODAY (Dec. 4) is the first Sunday of the month which means Letter Writing Day ! Come to the Library after hospitality to write to your elected officials. You’re welcome to write about any issue that concerns you or this month’s theme "Budget Priorities – Funding Human Needs ". Stationery and assistance provided.
The books are in! If you ordered books at the Library Committee book sale, you may pay for them TODAY (Dec. 4), either before or after late Meeting for Worship, and take them home. Any books not picked up today will still be here next Sunday, Dec. 11. We will appreciate it if you can give us a check payable to QuakerBooks, but we will have change for cash, too.
Global Solutions Education Fund will hold its annual meeting at the Meeting House, Wed., Dec. 7, 5:45pm, beginning with hors d’oeuvres and drinks. The social time will be followed by a talk by Don Krause, CEO and President of the national office in Washington, DC. Come find out what sorts of global solutions are being recommended to resolve global problems, and how you can help! All are invited !
